Doug Wimbish cooperates with Tarja Turunen
Doug Wimbish cooperates with Tarja Turunen, former singer of Finnish metalband Nightwish. He appears on her new album 'My Winter Storm', due November 9, and will assist Turunen on a series of concerts in November and December 2007.
The live band that will accompany Turunen consists of: Alex Scholpp (guitar), Doug Wimbish (bass), Mike Terrana (drums), Maria Ilmoniemi (keyboards), Max Silja and Markus Hohti (cello), Toni Turunen (Lead and backing vocals, guitar, electronic drums and keyboards).
'My Winter Storm' is considered to be Tarja Turunen's solo debut album. Last year's release 'Breath from Heaven' was only available in Finland and Argentina. Turunen was Nightwish's singer for 8 years, untill she had to leave the band in the fall of 2005. Since then she has worked on her solo carreer.
