I SAW THE CHALLENGER blow up in 1986

"I SAW THE CHALLENGER blow up in 1986 and felt very sad. There was nothing anyone could do at that point... the major malfunction happened years before in some factory somewhere. I was so effected by the disaster that i did an album about it, Major Malfunction. And now this, the Columbia disaster. Those brave souls... that's what we on earth say to all those who done it. I'm sure that the crew never thought it would happen to them. Who does? We say they knew the risks. But you never think it will happen to you do you? All I can think is: what a waste. I also think this one could have been prevented. I think NASA was just slack. They could have sent up another shuttle. I heard the words 'not in the budget' on the news the other day. A wise old man once told me that no matter what technology they let the public see, you can be sure that they are 50 to a 100 years ahead of that in secret.SSSSSSOOOOOO G.B.J., how about giving our fine young men and women, our astronauts, some real 2003 technology to ride in, instead of sending it all to Iraq?"
