Mixed feelings about 'In Your Head'

In Your Head, the first Tackhead track in eleven years - made available as free download on The Mighty Tackhead and King of the Beat - has been received with mixed feelings. So far the track was played on national British and Dutch radio (BBC's On The Wire and Vpro's Het Lek) but some Tackhead fans seem to have a different opinion. The response varies from 'that's one rocking track' and 'great song' to 'it sucks' and 'I guess you get what you paid for'.
To a certian extend the critics are right, says drummer Keith LeBlanc, who did the first mix of the track, but he wants to point out that In Your Head doesn't show Tackhead 2002 in full gear yet. "We did the track quick for the internet and it should be considered as a freebee, like a greeting card from a long lost pal."
Tackhead have already been working on new tracks since the rough cut for In Your Head and Keith and Doug Wimbish joined heads to do a track with just the two of them. It's entitled Fake Head and it too will be available as a free download very soon. 'It's just me and Doug playing live through our midi set ups", says keith. "It's already a big hit in the underground rap circuit in the US and the track was made in less time than In Your Head."
