Adrian Sherwood performed live at the electronic dance festival Shine, in Eindhoven, The Netherlands on August 10. He and singer Ghetto Priest (with a special guest role for Denise Sherwood!) gave a pre-taste of the forthcoming On-U Sound release Chainstore Massacre, featuring Little Axe, Ghetto Priest, Asian Dub Foundation, 2Badcard and Sinead O'Connor, and a track from Adrian's solo album Never Trust a Hippy?.
"I'll dub it up a little", he said before the show, but that turned out to be an understatement. During the first track he broke through the 95 db barrier set for the festival and split the ears of the crowd with a heavy psychedelic dub show, heavy delays and massive feedback. The whole event is broadcasted via the internet by Dutch national radio station Vpro.
